I have been buying Carol’s coffee for about a year. I arrived in Boquete 2 years ago and tried 7 or 8 different coffees. Once I found Carol’s coffee I was happy. . I use the dark roast and it is consistently excellent; a very smooth cup of coffee. People continue to recommend other coffees to me. I will try them but I continually prefer Carol’s coffee over others. Her coffee is head and shoulders above the others I tried. Thank you for providing such a great product.
We enjoy our coffee from Vista Encanto so much that we have it shipped from Boquete to Panama City on a regular basis because we refuse to settle for anything less and enjoy serving it to our guests who always agree with us that it’s the best coffee they’ve ever tasted!
If you are looking for a Robust Coffee with a rich and smooth chocolaty taste with a hint of floral, you must try Vista Encanto Italian Dark Roast Coffee Beans – only done in a French Press! Truly Boquete’s Best!”

“Panama has some of the world’s best coffee and we were lucky enough to sample most of it. By far and away, Vista Encanto coffee dark blend is our favorite, to the point we drank it exclusively during our time in Panama.”
My husband and I discovered Vista Encanto coffee a few years ago, and have switched to drinking it almost exclusively. We appreciate that the beans are locally and organically grown and freshly roasted so we benefit with great taste and freshness!
As an expat living in Boquete, Panama I discovered Vista Encanto coffee from friends. I was impressed by the robust Arabica, especially the dark roast. In Boquete, there are many fine coffee choices as it is the heart of highland coffee farming in Panama. Vista Encanto is, by far, my preferred coffee.
I met Carol, the owner and producer, through these same friends and came to appreciate her enthusiasm and dedication to the necessary details of coffee production as a small artisan operation. She supervises each step to final production. She is an entrepreneur with an established superior product and production process. I fully support her stepping up her marketing to reach new customers, and wish her every success.
I am confident each person purchasing Carol’s Vista Encanto coffee will be pleased with the arabica, shade grown, highland brew, and be confident to know they are supporting an artisan producer in a world of mass production. Two wins, one sip!

“Ms. Carol Santana has been supplying our household with coffee for more than 9 years and we have invariably found the quality to be excellent. We routinely host Panamanian guests and these folks also consistently give Carol’s coffee very high marks.”
I was introduced to Carol’s coffee by a friend who lives in Boquete, Panama. She told me it was “really good” coffee grown locally by one of her friends. At the time I though “Oh great, another Expat who bought a coffee farm and now thinks they have the world’s best coffee beans”.
I like to think that I’m a Foody and not just for coffee but for food in general. The moment I had my first sip of Carol’s Dark Roast coffee it hit me that, YES this is good! At that point I became a big fan of her coffee and have been ever since. The dark rick flavor and freshness of this Arabic coffee just makes it for me.
Her coffees are roasted in small batches, so they are no more than a week old and it shows in the wonderful taste.
My wife Margo loves Carol’s coffee as well.
I just love this coffee! I drink it every day and buy no other. The rich and full flavor is what I want in my coffee. Each day I carefully grind the whole beans and follow with a French press brewer…perfect! My friends never refuse a cup at my house.
Fantastic Aroma and Flavour
Vista Encanto Coffee has to be the best coffee we have ever tasted in all of Panama. Our favorite blend is the dark roast (Vienna). It has a rich flavor and aroma that rivals any coffee in Panama costing ten times more. The touted Geisha blends from other local growers/roasters in the Boquete area have not impressed us and we feel lacked the full body and taste offered from Vista Encanto Coffee.

I have tried many of the estate coffees in Boquete, always searching for the one that is most sublime. I am a fan of dark roast, and a delicious but not bitter dark roast is difficult to find. Carol’s dark roast hit the mark. It is robust, chocolaty and smooth. It is the only coffee I drink.Judy Sacco
I first encountered Frank and Carol’s coffee (Vista Encanto) in 2012 while staying at Playa Las Lajas. My friend Del heard I was a home coffee roaster and recommended we try theirs. Del introduced us and we bought a few pounds of green, parchment-on beans, and Del’s caretaker Alexi would pound the parchment off and roast a fresh batch every day for us in a large metal bowl over an open fire.David D. I have to say it was the best coffee we ever tasted. Not sure if it was that particular year’s crop, or the way Alexi roasted it, or maybe it was impurities in his bowl (who knows?) but it was ridiculously wonderful. I have tried roasting the beans myself and had good results but not quite like Alexi’s.
We have been buying Vista Encanto every year since then and Frank and Carol have been able to roast it to my taste (Full City +, just into second crack), and it has been consistently outstanding. So much so that it is one of the few coffees I do not roast myself anymore. I like this with slightly lighter roast since they have a very good bean: shade grown in rich volcanic soil on a substantial slope at high altitude. This means the bean takes longer to mature than an open-sun, flat plain bean at slightly lower altitude, but it also means the sugars have more time to mature and it makes a better cup of coffee. Thus, a lighter roast brings out the more subtle flavor of the bean, and this is a very good one I don’t want to cover with the flavor of the roast.
Very grateful to know the good people at Vista Encanto, and I make sure to buy several pounds every trip I make back to Panama.

My wife and I have been enjoying your excellent dark roasted coffee for several years now and honestly have found nothing in the Boquete area that is comparable to your blend in terms of flavor and all around excellence. This, plus the fact that you deliver to our door makes for a 5-star rating for any coffee lover.Elizabeth and Roberto Mazzetta
Please keep those beans roasting!
I’ve been ordering my coffee from Vista Encanto for several years now. Delivery is always reliable and the service is excellent. But why do I buy coffee to be shipped from a faraway land when I live in New York City and have a huge variety and selection from all over the world at my fingertips? Because the quality of Vista Encanto coffee is unlike anything else available in a retail or cafe setting! Most coffee beans you buy are several years old!!! When you try coffee made with really fresh beans you can never go back to even premium coffees in the States The smoothness and aroma simply cannot be beaten!
No one there like it!Giny Israel
Finca Vista Encanto has been my go to coffee for several years.,
I blend the medium and dark roast …great way to start the day…also great for iced coffee.
I recommend preparing with a French press
you will not be disappointed.
It’s the only coffee we drink. We have tried other brands, but always come back to Vista Encanto Coffee.Ken and Becky Campea
