I was Born and raised New York City until my teenage years, when I moved to Miami Beach attending high school, and College. I have had 2 careers in my life.
In my early 20’s I moved back to NYC. Becoming, employed in a Jewelry manufacturing company. Working my way from the bottom up, starting by physically processing the orders. In those days everything was manual, so you took the order went into the vault and pulled the piece of jewelry for the order, if it was not in stock you filled out an envelope with the model number and quantity and followed it through the manufacturing until the order was complete. So I continued to progress up in the company, Going from the manufacturing end to work in the sales area, assisting in putting together the merchandise for the new sales line, which included filling out computer sheets for the pricing books, preparing for trade shows, working with the sales team, traveling to the trade shows, organizing the merchandise department stores as well as jewelry stores bought, Also representing the lines in parts of the country. Finally being a sales rep, Washington State to Arizona and Hawaii to Utah. Like all things it was great at first then it lost its shine.
I then relocated back to South Florida and became a commercial Realtor marketing in South Beach apartment buildings and Commercial warehouse properties, once again starting from the bottom up. It was there I met my husband, an attorney. We lived in Bay Harbor Florida for many years. He wanted to retire, so we started looking for where in the world to live. We were all set on Spain, but also looked into Panama where we moved to. Guess you can call us the “GREEN ACRE “ couple of Panama ( reference is a TV show) and as they say the rest is history .So I now live in Alto Jaramillo Boquete continuing Vista Encanto coffee ,that my husband and I started he passed December 2017.
On my property I have a small green house with orchids, as well as on the property I was given one when I lived in the USA., they are like potato chips you can’t just eat one .
I have always had a bug to travel, my philosophy has been stick a stamp on me and send me anywhere, as with my first job I traveled to all most of the states in the USA, and living in Florida traveled via our boat to the all the Islands in the Bahamas, it was also very convenient to take cruise ships out of the port of Miami or Ft Lauderdale. During the winter months of December and January we took advantage of the off season as well as slow business in the later part of December and January traveling to Europe. If you want to offer me a trip my bags are packed.
While in Boquete I took up Bridge, thinking it would be great for my brain and no matter where you travel in the world you can always find a bridge game.
My trusted assistant Bella, introduced me to Amigos De Animales aadab.org when she was 4 weeks old she is now 11.From that experience, I became heading up the recovery of the animals in our once a month clinics as, well as organizing fund raising events. So as you see I need to retire from retirement . Have a great Day
